A large number of people are associated with different types of government schemes running in the country. The government also spends a lot of money on these schemes so that the benefits of the scheme can reach every needy. Like this, today we are talking about the government scheme PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Narendra Modi launched the Surya Ghar free electricity scheme in February 2024. Under this scheme, the government claimed to provide 300 units of electricity free of charge to eligible people.
For this, a subsidy is being given by the government to install solar panels on the roof of the house. The amount of subsidy received on this has been kept up to Rs 78000. You can also take advantage of this scheme. Today we will tell you when and how to get money under the scheme.
So much subsidy is available
Under this scheme, 60% of the solar unit cost for power generation up to 2 KW and 40 percent of the cost of the panel for power generation capacity between 2 and 3 KW is given by the government as subsidy. The subsidy limit has been limited to 3 kilowatts. According to the cost of today’s solar panels, this subsidy will be Rs 30,000 for 1 kW, Rs 60,000 for a 2 kW system, and Rs 78,000 for a solar panel of 3 kW or more.
Money comes in so many days
According to the 2024 budget, the government had said to provide 300 units of electricity to 1 crore families. Under this scheme, you will first have to apply online, which you can do through its official website, after which, if you are found eligible, the government will ask you for the details of your account, in which you will also have to give a canceled check along with the account information. After this, the process of getting subsidy can take up to 30 days.
The subsidy process will be speeded up
At present, subsidy claims have to be settled within a month, according to a government official. But in the future, the National Payments Corporation will be included in it, which will eliminate checks and bank accounts in subsidies. This decision of the government will speed up the subsidy process. In addition, back-end integration for payment of subsidies through the National Portal is also being expedited.
