Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana: There are many beneficial and welfare schemes running in our country, many of which are run by the central government while many are run by the state governments for the people of their respective states. Through these schemes, efforts are made to benefit the needy and poor sections.
In this series, there is a scheme called Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, under which there is a provision to give many types of financial benefits and the beneficiaries are also given advanced training to improve their work, but are you eligible to join this scheme?
What are the benefits in this scheme?
1. Those who join this scheme are given advanced training related to their work which helps them to improve their work. For this, there is a provision of giving Rs. 500 per day till the training is on, in which there is also a provision of incentive.
2. Beneficiaries are also given Rs 15,000 to purchase toolkit (items related to their work such as sewing machine for tailors etc.).
3. There is also a provision of giving you a loan in this scheme in which a loan of Rs 1 lakh is first given at a cheap interest rate and on repaying it on time, there is a provision of giving an additional loan of Rs 2 lakh.
Who are eligible for the scheme?
Only people involved in 18 traditional businesses are eligible to join this scheme. You can see its list below, if you are not in this list then you are not eligible to join this scheme.
Cobblers/shoemakers, Barbers, hair cutters, Washermen and tailors, Those who are lock makers, Those who are boat builders, Those who are stone carvers, Doll and toy makers, Stone breakers, Malayan makers, Basket/mat/broom makers, Hammer and toolkit makers, Those who are armorers, Fishing net makers, Those who do blacksmith work, who is a mason, If you are a goldsmith and If you are a sculptor.
