Lakhpati Didi Scheme: The government is working to run big schemes to make women’s future brighter. The government has initiated an ambitious scheme, the Lakhpati Didi scheme, under the Central Government to empower rural women economically. The PM Modi government announced it on the 77th Independence Day. The objective of this scheme will be to make more than 3 crore women financially strong.
The main objective of the Lakhpati Didi scheme is to ensure that rural women earn at least Rs 1 lakh every year. The scheme will evaluate women based on five criteria to determine their eligibility as lakhpatis.
This scheme aims not only to empower every Didi to become an entrepreneur, but also to provide financial assistance to women through bank loans and loan waivers. This scheme also focuses on digital financial inclusion.
