When the mass marriage scheme was started, people used to laugh. It was being called an insult to the poor, but we are proud that till now we have got four lakh couples married under the mass marriage scheme in the entire state. In the first year of the scheme, we conducted one lakh marriages.” This was said by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

He came to bless the newly married couples in the mass marriage of 1001 couples on the last day of Jaunpur Mahotsav organized at Shahi Qila on Wednesday. He further said that the amount of Rs 35,000 received under the scheme will now become Rs 1 lakh from April 1. Apart from this, the government will also give scooties to meritorious daughters. This scheme not only facilitates the marriage of daughters but also encourages them for education.

He said that this mass program of 1001 couples gives new heights to the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ of the Prime Minister. Youth will get a golden opportunity

The Chief Minister said that to create employment for the youth, the government has started a new initiative. For this, an employment zone will be created in every district in the name of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 100 acres. Skill development work will be done in it. He said that in the morning session, a subsidy of Rs 1,890 crore was given to 1.86 lakh Ujjwala Yojana connection holders in the state.

Our government has waived one crore 56 lakh electricity bills. In the last eight years, six crore people have been lifted above the poverty line. Along with building houses for 56 lakh poor, food grains were delivered to 15 crore poor.

Assurance to make Jaunpur a smart city

The Chief Minister said that Jaunpur is a center of education. The followers of religion are being guided by Jagatguru Swami Rambhadracharya of this place. Raja Yadvendra Dutt Dubey, Shaheed Umanath Singh, Dr. Lalji Singh and Kirti Singh have also increased the fame of the district. The Chief Minister also assured to make Jaunpur a smart city. The government has no shortage of funds for the development of this place, the need is to make good use of the budget.

The Chief Minister targeted those who taunted the Mahakumbh and said that goodness cannot be expected from people who live surrounded by filth. 66 crore 30 lakh Sanatanis from all over the country took a holy bath in the Mahakumbh, which became the biggest festival of humanity. Despite this, some people were spreading negativity from the very first day. That is why I had already said that whoever saw the Mahakumbh, got the same.

After seeing the model, he took complete information about the construction of the stadium. The engineers and officials associated with the agency were asked to complete the construction of the stadium within the stipulated time by running a campaign on a war footing.

The officials told about the drainage, road connectivity etc. systems of the stadium. During this, Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma said that preparations are underway to inaugurate the International Cricket Stadium with the T20 World Cup cricket match to be held in February 2026.
