PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana: The Government of India implements various initiatives aimed at benefiting its citizens. Different segments of the population can take advantage of these diverse government schemes, which are designed with their specific needs in mind. A significant number of young individuals in the country are still seeking employment opportunities.
To address this issue, the Government of India has introduced a program aimed at facilitating employment for these youths. This initiative is known as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. In this context, we will discuss who is eligible for this program and the application process for availing its benefits.
The PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana is specifically targeted at these young individuals. Launched in 2015, this initiative provides training to enhance employability among the youth. The government offers training in 40 different sectors, and upon successful completion, participants receive a skill certification.
Additionally, trainees are provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 8000 during their training period. To date, over 1.6 crore young people have secured employment through this government initiative. The government is now set to introduce Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0. We will outline how interested youths can register to benefit from this program.
Individuals aged between 15 to 45 years and 18 to 59 years are eligible to apply for the scheme. It encompasses three types of courses: short-term training, special projects, and recognition of prior learning. Those aged 15 to 45 can apply for short-term training and special projects, while individuals aged 18 to 59 can apply for recognition of prior learning.
