Bengal Weather Update: The weather update of Bengal is here. Meteorologist Sourish Banerjee from the Alipore Meteorological Department says that the weather isn’t expected to change much over the next couple of days. Starting Tuesday, temperatures are set to rise, with an increase of about 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the following three days.

On Valentine’s Day, February 14, we might see a slight dip in temperature again. While winter vibes will return to the district, it seems unlikely that Kolkata and nearby areas will experience a true winter comeback. By the end of Magh, winter will pretty much be over in Kolkata and surrounding districts.

No warnings for dense fog in the coming days

There’s a chance of fog, but no warnings for dense fog in the coming days. Light to moderate fog is expected in coastal districts on Sunday and in western districts on Monday. Areas like Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Uttar Dinajpur in North Bengal might also see some light to moderate fog.

Rain in North Bengal

North Bengal could see some rain again, with a slight chance of very light rain in the hilly areas of Kalimpong within the next 24 hours. Another round of rain is anticipated in Darjeeling and the hills of Kalimpong on Monday, February 10.

Steady rise in temperatures starting Tuesday

The morning forecast indicates a steady rise in temperatures starting Tuesday, leading to a “warm” Valentine’s Day on Friday. Winter will say its goodbyes next weekend, with nighttime temperatures hitting 20 degrees and daytime highs reaching 30 in Kolkata between next Wednesday and Thursday. For now, there are no warnings for dense fog.
