Bengal Weather Update: There is a big update revealed regarding Bengal Weather. As per MeT department, Rains starting from Wednesday. Rain is expected in South Bengal until Friday, with the possibility of heavier rainfall on Thursday. Darjeeling and Kalimpong might see some light rain on Thursday and Friday, and there’s a chance of light snowfall in the higher hills of Darjeeling. Fog warnings are in place for Darjeeling and nearby areas. Today, Monday, and Tuesday will have clear skies, but after that, expect partly cloudy conditions. Temperatures are set to rise by two to four degrees Celsius across various districts.

In South Bengal, clear skies will dominate on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures climbing even higher—by two to four degrees Celsius. After Tuesday, the skies will turn partly cloudy, and rain is likely to hit several districts starting Wednesday.

On Wednesday, expect rain in Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, Bankura, and East Burdwan. Thursday will bring an increased chance of rain in North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Midnapore, Bankura, East and West Burdwan, Kolkata, Howrah, and Hooghly.

Kolkata and North and South 24 Parganas will see rain on Friday. In North Bengal, the hill districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong could experience rain from Wednesday to Friday, mainly light rain with some thunder. There’s also a slight chance of light snowfall in the higher hills of Darjeeling and areas near Sikkim.

Fog is expected across all of North Bengal, with dense fog possible in parts of Darjeeling, potentially dropping visibility to 200 meters or less. Light to moderate fog is likely in the other districts, including Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, North and South Dinajpur, and Malda during the early morning hours.

Temperature to start rising

Temperatures are anticipated to rise starting today, with an increase of two to three degrees Celsius over the next few days.

Kolkata is heating up quite a bit. By Tuesday, we can expect the temperature to go up by two to three degrees Celsius. Plus, there’s a good chance of rain from Wednesday to Friday, with Thursday seeing even more rain and more frequent showers.
