The rollout will occur in phases, with all users expected to access these features by April 2025.

Split Expense Feature

Managing shared expenses becomes effortless with the new Split Expense feature. Users can now divide bills among friends and family directly within the app, streamlining transactions for activities like dining out, paying rent, or group shopping.

Family Mode

Family Mode allows multiple family members to link to a single account, providing a consolidated view of household expenditures. This feature facilitates better budgeting and financial oversight within families.

Spend Analytics Dashboard

The Spend Analytics Dashboard offers users a comprehensive analysis of their monthly payments. By automatically categorizing transactions, it aids in budgeting and expenditure control, empowering users to make informed financial decisions.

Multi-Language Support

To cater to India’s diverse population, BHIM 3.0 now supports over 15 regional languages. This inclusivity ensures that users from various linguistic backgrounds can navigate the app with ease.

Offline and Low-Network Functionality

Recognizing connectivity challenges in certain areas, the updated app is optimized to function seamlessly even in low or no internet zones. Users can perform transactions without interruptions, ensuring reliability across different regions.

Enhanced Security Features

Security remains a priority with BHIM 3.0. The app incorporates advanced security protocols to safeguard user transactions. Features like the Action Needed Assistant provide timely reminders for unpaid bills, suggest UPI Lite activation, and alert users when their account balance is low, promoting proactive financial management.

UPI Lite Integration

The integration of UPI Lite allows users to load up to ₹2,000 into a wallet within the app, facilitating quick transactions without the need to enter a PIN for amounts less than ₹500. This feature enhances the convenience of making small-value payments

Conversational Payments with ‘Hello UPI’
