The Allahabad High Court has also given relief to the pensioners. The court has ordered that the deduction made from gratuity based on the wrong salary payment should be refunded with 6% interest.

This order has been given based on the decision of the Supreme Court and it has been directed to be implemented within a month.

Gift from Himachal High Court

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the benefit of a revised pay scale for employees who retired in 2016.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has also given relief to PF account holders. Now, account holders can withdraw up to ₹ 1 lakh from the account for the treatment of themselves or dependents.

Earlier, this limit was ₹ 50,000, which has been increased to ₹ 1 lakh. This change has come into effect on April 16, 2024.
