This time if there is a 5 percent increase in dearness allowance, then the dearness allowance will increase to 55 percent. Because last time with an increase of 4 percent, DA has increased from 46 percent to 50 percent. The government can issue updates in DA to the employees from the beginning of the month till September-October.
If we look at the previous trend so far, the government has announced the dearness allowance of July 1 only for September-October. Although the government has not given any official information in this regard, but if media reports and experts are to be believed, then there can be a good increase this time too.
4 percent increase in January
In the month of January 2024, a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance was approved. Since then employees are getting the benefit of 50 percent DA. At present, the figures of AICPI index till the month of April have been released.
In which CPI-IW has increased by 0.3 points to 139.2 in the month of February, while in the month of March this figure had come down by 0.3 points to 138.9. But in the month of April, it registered an increase of 0.5 percent. After which it has reached 139.4 points.
How much will the salary increase with 4 percent increase
If DA increases by 4 percent in the July update this year, then central employees will get a good increase in salary. In this, if the basic salary is Rs 50 thousand, then there can be an increase of 2 thousand rupees in dearness allowance. And if the increment is considered to be 3 percent, which can be based on the data. So there will be an increase of Rs 1500 in the increment and a total increase of up to Rs 3500 can be seen in it. If the basic salary is Rs 18 thousand, then an increase of 4 percent in it will give a benefit of up to Rs 9720 in the annual salary.
