High Court bans commutation deduction, Gives strict instructions to the government

COMMUTATION DEDUCTION BAN: After the order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Haryana government has taken a big decision. Now the state government has ordered to stop the deduction of pension (commutation recovery) from those pensioners who have retired and it has been 10 years or more since their retirement.

This order will remain in force till the final decision is taken on this matter. This decision of the government has come in compliance with the order of the High Court.

Finance Department Order: This order issued by the Finance Department of the Haryana Government is for those special pensioners who retired at least 10 years ago.

The main objective of this order is to stop the deduction of pension, which is done instead of making a lump sum payment of pension amount. This order is a follow-up of the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Stay on Recovery

Following the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Haryana government has decided to stop pension deductions from those pensioners who retired at least 10 years ago.

Directions to Officials

This order is mainly addressed to the Principal Accountant General (Audit and Income) of Haryana and the Director of, the Treasury and Accounts Department.

These officials have been directed to ensure compliance with the order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and stop deductions from the pension of the concerned pensioners.
