Viral News: Bareilly police has arrested a cunning person who has so far made about a dozen female constables his victims by luring them with marriage by wearing police uniform.
Not only this, he has cheated all these female constables of more than two crores. He has also married a female constable.
Bareilly Kotwali police has arrested the accused from Satellite Bus Stand. SP City Rahul Bhati confirmed this. The accused was only 8th pass.
Bhati told that the accused used to extract the data of female police personnel from the official website of the police. He used to know where the female police personnel were posted.
He used to introduce himself as a policeman and used to trap them in his net by luring them with marriage by sending photos of himself wearing police uniform.
The accused has confessed to 8-10 incidents in his statement so far. So far five cases have been registered against Rajan Verma.
He mainly targeted women police personnel. He used to commit fraud with them by giving false promises of marriage.
In the case registered in Thana Kotwali district Bareilly, he also committed fraud of Rs 30 lakh with a woman police personnel.
He also used to arrange loans from the bank by taking Aadhar card and PAN card of women police personnel by talking to a person known to him in Lucknow.
Accused Rajan Verma is a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri. He used to trap women police personnel in his net and make relations with them and extort money.
Police investigation has revealed that an SOG constable from Lakhimpur had taken money from the accused in the name of getting him a job.
From here onwards, his interactions with the police started. As he could not get a job, he started living with the policemen and learnt their lifestyle. How to wear a uniform.
How to salute, how to hold weapons, he gathered complete information about all these things while living with the police.
Then he trapped a woman police personnel in his love trap and married her. When the female police officer came to know the truth, her marriage broke.
Similarly, he started making other female police officers his victims. When a victim female constable from Bareilly lodged an FIR in the police station, the police started looking for this accused.
The female constable told that on taking the loan papers for the plot, Rajan Burma fraudulently issued a car. When money started getting deducted from her account, the fake constable’s secret was revealed.
