DELHI WEATHER UPDATE: It has become difficult for Delhiites to even leave the house these days. The capital Delhi has been in the grip of a heat wave for the last 15 days and the temperature has remained above 40 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 44.7 degrees Celsius. While giving this information, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also told us about the possible date of arrival of monsoon in Delhi.
According to IMD, monsoon can knock in Delhi by the end of this month i.e. in the last week of June.
Heat wave continues in Delhi
If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, then for the time being, Delhiites may have to suffer from more heat.
The Meteorological Department says that the highest temperature in the city was recorded at 47.7 degrees Celsius at Najafgarh Meteorological Center.
At the same time, the maximum temperature at Safdarjung Observatory, which is considered to be the official temperature of Delhi, was 44.7 degrees Celsius, which is 5 degrees more than the normal average.
According to the bulletin of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 47.5 degrees Celsius in other weather centers of Delhi like Narela, 45.9 degrees Celsius in Ayanagar, 46.4 degrees Celsius in Ridge, and 45.5 degrees Celsius in Palam.
Monsoon will be active on 27 June
There is hope of getting relief from the scorching sun of Delhi soon. The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon is likely to arrive in Delhi by the end of this month i.e. around June 27.
According to the IMD bulletin, the relative humidity on Wednesday was between 18 to 58 percent. The department has predicted strong winds and partly cloudy weather at most places on Thursday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 45 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.
The effect of western disturbance remained ineffective
Let us tell you that in the last few days, due to the effect of western disturbance, changes were seen in the weather of many areas from Rajasthan to high altitude hilly areas.
It had more impact in Rajasthan. Due to this, rain was also recorded along with strong winds. Dust storms occurred in many areas of Rajasthan.
It was said that the western disturbance could also affect Delhi, but its effect was not seen much in the National Capital Region.
