Prime Minister Ujjwala Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister of the country on 1 May 2016, through which an effort has been made to provide cooking gas to all the poor families of the country who are ration card holders.
In earlier times, women used to cook food with the help of firewood, which caused maximum pollution and took much more time to prepare food. Given these problems, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was brought to provide gas connections at low prices.

Following are the benefits available under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana-
Through this scheme, free cooking gas cylinders are being provided to women.
Women can now cook food with the help of pollution-free cooking gas, giving up firewood.
In the second phase of PM Ujjwala Yojana, free cylinders will be provided to 1.6 crore families.
With the initiative of this scheme, gas cylinders are now being made available to every household.
PM Ujjwala Scheme Eligibility
To avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, you all will have to complete some documents which are as follows –
Only women can apply online through this scheme.
To apply, the age of the female applicant must be above 18 years.
All women who already have an LPG connection are not eligible for this scheme.
Women must have their bank account to apply.

PM Ujjwala Yojana Apply Online
First of all, you all have to go to the home page of its official website.
After coming to the home page, you all have to click on the option of Apply For New Connection.
Now the names of three gas agencies will appear on your screen. (HP Gas, Indane Gas, Bharat Gas)
After selection, you will go to the official website of the company.
After this, you will select the name of your state and district and click on the Show List option.
Now here you will select the name of your nearest gas agency.
After this, a new page will open in front of you where you will enter your mobile number and captcha and submit.
You have to scan and upload the necessary documents.
After this, you will click on the final submit option.
After this, you will go to your nearest operator agency and submit the application form.
