The Rajasthan government has launched a subsidy scheme for irrigation pipelines to help farmers improve water conservation and their irrigation systems. Under this scheme, farmers can use pipelines to supply water from tube wells or wells to their fields, saving 20-25% of water. According to the Agriculture Department, the scheme will promote micro-irrigation, reduce farmers’ production costs, strengthen water management in agriculture, and increase farmers’ income.

The Rajasthan government is offering a subsidy of up to 60% for farmers to install irrigation pipelines. Please note that this scheme is valid only until the end of the current financial year. In this article, we’ll provide detailed information about the subsidy available for irrigation pipelines.

Purpose

  • To supply water from tube wells or wells to the farm without any leakage.
  • Water can be saved up to 20-25%

Subsidy Amount for Irrigation Pipelines

  1. Small and Marginal Farmers: 60% subsidy or a maximum of ₹18,000 (whichever is less).
  2. Other Farmers: 50% subsidy or a maximum of ₹15,000 (whichever is less).

Important Information to Know

  1. The pipeline must be purchased from a manufacturer approved by the Agriculture Department or their authorized distributors.
  2. Once approved, farmers will receive information via mobile.
  3. Departmental verification will be done after the purchase.
  4. The subsidy amount will be directly deposited into the farmer’s bank account.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The farmer must own cultivable land.
  • A diesel/electric/tractor pump set is required for the well.
  • If multiple farmers want to apply for a collective well, each farmer must show separate land ownership.

How to Apply for the Subsidy

  • Online Application: Farmers can apply through the “Raj Kisan Sathi” portal.
  • Apply at e-Mitra: Farmers can also apply at the nearest e-Mitra center.
  • After submitting the application, an online receipt will be provided.

  • Aadhaar/Janadhar card
  • A copy of Jamabandi (not more than six months old)
