The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to the employees of the state. Now in UP, they will be able to get the benefit of salary hike even after retirement. This proposal was approved in the cabinet. After the elections, the state government has given a big gift to its employees. Now if the salary hike is decided on the next day of retirement,then the pension of such employees will be calculated by adding the notional salary hike. Actually, this proposal of the Finance Ministry was approved in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

After the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that with the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, the annual salary hike of the employees used to happen on July 1 every year. Under the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, the annual salary hike was implemented from January 1, 2016. After this, the employees have been given the option to choose the date of salary hike on July 1 and January 1.

The High Court and the Supreme Court had given the order

Let us tell you, in various petitions filed in this regard in Madras, Karnataka and Allahabad High Court, orders have been given to give the next salary hike to the retired employees on June 30. In such cases, SLP has been rejected several times by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had also given an order in this matter, under which judicial officers were ordered to be given the benefit of salary hike on January 1 or July 1 after retirement.

Employees retiring a day earlier will also get the benefit of salary hike

If the salary hike of the state government employees retiring on June 30 and December 31 would have been on July 1 and December 31, then they would not have got the benefit in the form of pension and gratuity. After this, it was decided to apply it to the state employees as well. Now if the salary hike is fixed on July 1 and January 1, the day after retirement, then the pension of such personnel will be calculated by adding one salary hike. The actual financial benefit of the salary hike will be available.

In such a situation, the senior is promoted, which is called fictitious promotion. The salary hike received after fictitious promotion through backdating is called fictitious salary hike. These promotions and salary hikes are not fictitious but real. That is, the salary hike of the employees will not be only on paper but they will get the real financial benefit of the salary hike just after retirement.
