Haryana farmers: A good news has come for the farmers of Haryana. The procurement of Kharif season pulses and oilseeds crops in the state will start from October 1.
This includes procurement of Kharif pulses and oilseeds crops including moong, groundnut, tur, urad and sesame at the minimum support price (MSP).
This will be the schedule
Moong will be procured from October 1 to November 15 and peanuts from November 1 to December 31. Procurement of oilseeds and pulses crops including tur, urad and sesame will be done from December 1 to December 31 at the minimum support price (MSP).
Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations
Chief Secretary Dr. TVSN Prasad reviewed the preparations for the procurement of crops for the marketing season 2024-25 in Chandigarh on Thursday and directed the officials to make the procurement process smooth for the farmers.
He informed that the production of Kharif crops is expected to increase this year, in which 27197 metric tons of moong, 238 metric tons of tur, 85 metric tons of urad, 471 metric tons of sesame and 9668 metric tons of groundnut are estimated to be produced.
Kharif crops will be purchased at the minimum support price (MSP) declared by the Government of India. Hafed will also participate in the purchase process.
