Traffic Rules: Currently, significant ttention is being directed towards accident prevention and disciplined driving in Noida. As a result, modifications to the traffic regulations in the area are being observed. To facilitate smoother traffic flow, the Noida traffic police are periodically introducing new rules. Recently, a new regulation concerning lane changes on three specific routes has been implemented. Consequently, individuals commuting daily in Noida for work or other purposes must exercise caution, as violations may result in fines.
Traffic police have identified three routes
The traffic police have identified three routes where rule violations will incur substantial penalties. Specifically, if drivers fail to change lanes at least 100 meters before the designated lane-changing zones, they may face fines. Additionally, changing lanes at turns or intersections will also lead to significant penalties. The traffic police have intensified enforcement in these three zones, necessitating careful driving in these areas. It will take time for commuters in Noida to familiarize themselves with this new regulation.
Rule for lane change
Under this rule, drivers must change lanes prior to reaching the 100-meter mark before the designated zones. Any lane changes made at turns or intersections will be deemed a violation, resulting in fines. To ensure compliance, a team of three personnel will be stationed at the lane-changing areas to monitor vehicle movements. In the future, this regulation may be extended to encompass the entire district alongside these three routes.
Regarding the new traffic regulations, DCP Traffic Lakhan Singh Yadav stated that the designated zones include the stretch from Charkha to the Kalindi Kunj turn, the cut towards GIP Mahamaya, and the area near Dalit Prerna Sthal. Drivers traveling from Charkha to Kalindi Kunj are required to change lanes before reaching the 100-meter mark. Those heading from GIP to Mahamaya must remain on the left side, while drivers proceeding to DND and Chilli should keep to the right.
