LPG GAS CYLINDER: Now it has become mandatory to get biometric e-KYC done to get gas subsidy.

The Petroleum Department has issued new guidelines for consumers, which are necessary for everyone to follow. Under these guidelines, it is now mandatory for every gas consumer to get biometric e-KYC done.

Benefit to the right beneficiary

Gas agency operator Hansraj says that the department has made biometric e-KYC mandatory for gas consumers. Its main objective is to provide the benefits available to the consumers to the same people.

It has been seen many times that someone else takes advantage of the schemes in the name of the gas connection holder, due to which the real beneficiary is deprived.

In such a situation, e-KYC facility has been started, so that the consumer can get direct benefit of subsidy and other government schemes.

How to get biometric e-KYC done

Gas agency operator Hansraj has instructed the employees to make all the consumers aware about e-KYC. With this, consumers will be able to get the gas subsidy given by the government and the department directly in their account.

He told that to complete the biometric authentication, consumers will have to go to the distributor and get e-KYC done. For this, gas agencies will have to do the biometric work of LPG consumers through thumb or eye.

Checking the connection every 5 years for safety further told that the government and the department have also made it mandatory to check the gas connection every five years to protect the consumers from loss of life and property.

Under which the employees of the gas agency are going door to door and checking the gas connections of the consumers, so that they can be saved from accidents.
