Modi Cabinet Meeting: Gift to farmers, MSP of 14 crops approved for Kharif season, decision taken in cabinet meeting

New Delhi: The government allows MSP (Minimum support price) in Kharif season’s 14 crops. The Decision was taken in the cabinet meetings. In MSP the minimum price will be fixed by the government. The government also guaranteed famers to buy their all crops. The objective of increasing MSP is to get famers more price and make agriculture sector profitable. The new MSP of cotton has been approved at Rs 7,121 and for another variety at Rs 7,521, which is Rs 501 more than the previous MSP. The union information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave information on cabinet meeting decision. He said “A decision has been taken in cabinet meeting for welfare of farmers”.

Meeting chaired by PM Modi

under the chairmanship the Union Cabinet met Prime minister Narendra Modi. Including paddy, ragi, millet, sorghum, maize and cotton 14 karif crops are approved as MSP.

The reason is that it focuses on continuity with change through several decisions for the welfare of farmers. The third term of PM modi is very important said by Vaishnav also he said the farmers will get 2 lakhs crore of MSP. The cabinet has approved for contruction of Vadhavan port . The capacity of vadhavan port is 23 million TEUs once it completed and it is more that combined capacity of all indian port existing today. The Cabinet also approved 1 GW offshore wind power projects in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu with a total expenditure of Rs 7,453 crore.
