Namo Bharat Train: going to get good news soon. Here the journey from the capital Delhi to Meerut will now be completed in just 40 minutes. For this, the trial run of Namo Bharat train is going to start from November.
This train will run on a section of about 12 km between Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar on Delhi-Meerut Corridor RRTS. As soon as its operation starts, the journey between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South stations will be possible in 35 to 40 minutes.
Let us tell you that the length of New Ashok Nagar RRTS station is about 215 meters and the width is 30 meters. The concourse and platform level have been completed and the roof work is in progress. Tracks have also been almost laid till New Ashok Nagar.
OHE and signaling work is also in progress. On the other side of the station, a 45-metre long and eight-metre wide FOB is being constructed near the ancient Shiva temple, which will help the residents of New Ashok Nagar area to reach the station easily.
Foot over bridge is also being constructed
To improve connectivity and access to the station from the surrounding areas, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is also constructing two additional foot over bridges (FOBs) at the station.
A 42-metre long- 6.5-metre wide FOB will connect the surrounding areas of Chilla Village and Mayur Vihar Extension to the RRTS station.
Parking facility will also be available
Parking facility for more than 550 two-wheelers and four-wheelers will be created at the entrance of the station for the passengers. Through this, the facility will greatly enhance the convenience for passengers traveling by private vehicles.
Apart from this, there will be dedicated pick-up and drop-off points for vehicles at New Ashok Nagar station. Passengers coming to or leaving the station will benefit from the off-road service line, where cabs and autos can drop them conveniently.
