The consignment of liquor purchased from the companies has reached the warehouse of Beverage Corporation located at Silatra, but those liquor boxes have not reached the shops.
According to the workers working in the English liquor shops located at Premium Shop, Police Line, Katoratalab, Shastri Bazaar, Old Bus Stand located at Pachpedi Naka, the new stock has not reached the shops yet.
The workers told the reason for not getting new goods is the delay in transportation and lack of manpower.
According to the information, on Tuesday, a consignment of liquor has been dispatched from the depot of Beverage Corporation located at Silatra to Bastar and Dhamtari. Along with this, liquor transporters of other districts are lifting liquor from Silatra.
Shortage of popular brands in medium range
Famous brands of medium range liquor like Number-1, Aristocrat, Royal Stag are not available in most of the shops. Liquor of brands like RC is available in shops of Shastri Bazar, Police Line, Old Bus Stand along with premium shops.
Increase in the price of liquor of this range
The price of many brands of liquor has been increased from September 1. Among the liquor whose prices have been increased, the price of liquor available at more than Rs 840 has been increased. Along with this, the price of beer has also been increased.
Rum missing from shops
Rum is the second favorite liquor after whiskey for liquor lovers. Rum lovers are not getting rum of any brand in English liquor shops along with premium. Along with this, beer lovers are getting Simba brand beer in English liquor shops along with premium.
This is why there is a delay
The transporters who transport liquor are first transporting liquor to other districts. After this, they will transport liquor to the shops of Raipur district. Due to this, there is a delay in the arrival of new stock in the shops here. Due to the non-arrival of new stock, liquor lovers will have to wait for three to four more days to get their favorite brand of liquor.
