Ration Card : The Sub-Divisional Officer East has asked all the JVP shopkeepers to inform the beneficiaries of their respective areas about this within the stipulated date. If the beneficiary does not have an Aadhaar card, then it will be his personal responsibility, so get the Aadhaar card made before the stipulated date. He has asked the beneficiaries to contact the Block Supply Officer on mobile to get detailed information.

It has been made mandatory for all the members of the family mentioned on the ration card to get e-KYC done. The date has been fixed for this. If e-KYC is not done by June 15, then the beneficiaries will have to be deprived of getting food grain benefits.

He has said that all the beneficiaries must go to their nearest JVP shop and get e-KYC done within the stipulated date. The said process will be done free of cost through the pass machine installed at the shops. If the beneficiaries do not get e-KYC done within the stipulated time, then their ration card will be automatically deleted.

Names of more than five thousand ineligible people were removed

It is known that last year the names of ineligible ration card holders were removed in the eastern subdivision. During this time, names of more than five thousand ineligible people were removed. SDO Eastern said that all of them were taking advantage of food grains in a fraudulent manner. As per departmental instructions, all of them were identified and their names were removed by running a special campaign.

About seven lakh ration card holders in the district

The number of ration card holders in the eastern and western subdivisions of the district is about seven lakh. Let us tell you that if BPL families have ration cards, then 20 kg of wheat and 15 kg of rice are given every month at JVP shops. Now preparations are being made to give coarse grains under Shri Anna Yojana.
