Let us tell you that Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma, in response to supplementary questions during the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha, clearly said that he will again approach the Supreme Court to get more money from Sahara Group. BL Verma ji told that the Ministry of Cooperation has launched a portal for investors where investors can apply to get their money back.

On behalf of BL Verma, it was said that till now about 3 crore applicants have registered on the portal to get back Rs 80,000 crore. We have started the process of returning money to investors in 45 days and have received Rs 5000 crore so far.

What will happen next with Sahara India’s money

As soon as the Supreme Court issues any order regarding money, some investors of the city may get relief. Considering the number and size of claimants, Sahara India is expected to get their money after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are over. At present the Lok Sabha elections are on the verge of ending.
