The government in Odisha has announced the launch of Subhadra Yojana. Under this, women will be given a voucher of Rs 50 thousand. The central government is also going to help Odisha in this scheme. It is being said that it may cost Rs 80 thousand crore. On the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to give a big gift to women.
There are chances that PM Modi may also attend the program to be held on the launch of the scheme. The BJP, which formed the government for the first time in Odisha, had promised this scheme for women in its manifesto. Under this, every woman will get a voucher of Rs 50 thousand, which can be used for two years.
Implement of the scheme
The scheme was approved in the first cabinet meeting led by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. The BJP had promised to implement the scheme within 100 days of assuming office, in which partial help will also be given by the central government. At present, work is going on on how the money will be deposited, in how many installments and how much amount will be given in one installment.
A senior government official said, ‘We are considering whether it will be applicable to all women or women of 18 years and above or one woman from every house.’The BJP manifesto had promised to include all women living in Odisha in this scheme. He further said, ‘We will also decide whether the names of women living outside the state will be considered or not. It will also be considered whether working women and their income will be included or not.
