Under this scheme, the state government offers a subsidy of up to 50% for general category farmers and up to 70% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers. Financial Assistance and Grants
- The state government offers financial assistance for greenhouse construction:
- General category farmers: 50% subsidy
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers: 70% subsidy
- Farmers from notified tribal areas, small, and marginal farmers: Additional 25% subsidy
- This grant applies to areas up to 4000 square meters.
How to Apply?
Farmers can apply online or through e-Mitra centers. The application process requires submitting the necessary documents. Since the scheme is valid for the current financial year, farmers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Other Important Rules of the Scheme
- Greenhouse construction permission is granted only after administrative approval from the Horticulture Department.
- A departmental committee will verify the construction once completed.
- The farmer must submit an affidavit, tri-party contract form, and their contribution within 30 days of administrative approval or by March 31 (whichever comes first).
- The grant amount will be directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account or to the manufacturing firm, with the farmer’s written consent.
