Kisan cards: Kisan cards will be made in UP from July 1. Through this, Kisan Samman Nidhi will come in the accounts of farmers. Kisan cards will be made after the registration work is completed. For this, Kisan Registry is being started in the entire state from July 1. In this, details of the farmer’s Aadhar number, field area, Khasra number etc. will be recorded.
After this, a Kisan number will be issued. Through this number only, the complete details of the concerned farmer can be seen. Kisan Card will be made after the registration work is completed. Through the number received from the registry, the benefits of other schemes including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be given from December.
The Agriculture Department claims that Uttar Pradesh is the first state to start Kisan Registry simultaneously in the entire state. Farmer registry is being started under the central government’s plan to develop Agristack (digital public infrastructure for agriculture). Complete details of every farmer of the state will be recorded on the mobile app prepared by the central government.

It will be easy to identify farmers for payment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card for crop loan, crop insurance, compensation to farmers during disaster. Right now, farmers have to submit revenue records repeatedly to get any kind of loan. With farmer registration, their number can be entered on the related app and their complete details can be seen. This will make it easier to make and implement farmer welfare schemes. There will also be convenience in verification of beneficiaries, marketing of agricultural produce and other financial matters.
