What is Haryana Van Mitra Yojana
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced this scheme on 15 January 2024. Haryana Van Mitra Yojana is an initiative of the government to promote community participation with tree plantation on non-forest land. Its aim is to help people protect wild animals, plants and wildlife. Under the Haryana Van Mitra Yojana, a new way to get jobs has been presented to the youth, where they can become helpful in wildlife and natural conservation by becoming a forest friend.
Objectives of Haryana Van Mitra Yojana
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched the Van Mitra Yojana. The main objective of this scheme is to promote community participation on non-forest land. One of the main objectives of this scheme is to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth of the state. Therefore it has been included in ‘Mission 60000’. The main objective of this scheme is to directly involve the local common people in the development of the forest area. Also, it also aims to ensure an increase in the survival rate of plantations. Each Van Mitra will be given honorarium according to the maintenance of the plant.
Benefits of Van Mitra Yojana Haryana
Unemployed youth of the state will get employment. Under the Haryana Van Mitra Yojana, incentives will be provided to each Van Mitra for planting 1000 saplings. Efforts will be made to protect the environment through this scheme. Through the Haryana Van Mitra Yojana, 75 thousand unemployed youth of the state will be provided employment as Van Mitra.
Honorarium of Van Mitra Yojana Haryana
On becoming Haryana Van Mitra, the Haryana government will provide honorarium to the beneficiary as follows:
First Year : In the last week of June, Van Mitra will now give Rs 20 per pit for geo tagging and uploading photos of pits on the mobile app
In the last week of July and August, when Van Mitra does geo tagging of a plant, Rs 30 will be given per plant.
From September, Rs 10 per live plant will be given for planting, maintenance and protection of plants.
Second year : Rs 8 per live plant in the last week of every month.
Third Years : Rs 5 per live plant in the last week of every month.
Fourth year : Rs 3 per live plant in the last week of every month.
Van Mitra Yojana Haryana Eligibility
The applicant for Haryana Van Mitra Yojana must be a resident of Haryana state.
According to this scheme, a person aged 18 to 60 years will be considered eligible to become a Van Mitra.
For this, the average annual income of the applicant’s family should be less than Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand.

How to Apply in Haryana Van Mitra Yojana 2024
As you have been instructed to visit the official website of Haryana Forest Department.
The home page will look something like this.
Select the “Forest Registered” option on the home page to apply further.
On the new page you will see two links, out of which you have to click on “Van Mitra Registration (http://164.100.137.122/vanMitra)”.
There you will be asked to enter your family ID number, then you will be shown the names of all the family members, from which you have to select the person in whose name you want to apply.
It will be necessary to upload necessary documents like Aadhar card, income certificate, caste certificate and photo etc.
And finally submit it.
