Withdraw PF Online Without Bank Proof: EPFO has introduced a new system that simplifies the PF withdrawal process significantly. Users can now withdraw their PF without uploading a passbook or cheque, making the entire procedure faster and more accessible. This move is aimed at reducing user inconvenience and saving time while ensuring security. Here’s everything you need to know about the new steps and what changes to expect soon.
New PF Withdrawal Process Without Passbook or Cheque
EPFO has made a major change by removing the need to upload a bank passbook or cheque for withdrawing PF. Users must now visit the official EPFO website (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/) and log in using their UAN number, password, and captcha. Once OTP verification is complete, users need to go to the ‘Online Services’ section and choose Form 31, 19, or 10C. After entering and verifying the bank account number, users should select Form 31, fill in the amount and address details, and proceed with Aadhaar OTP verification to submit the claim.
UPI-Based PF Withdrawal System Coming Soon
EPFO is working on making PF withdrawals even more convenient by introducing a UPI-based withdrawal system. This will allow users to withdraw up to ₹1 lakh using UPI. The proposal is being developed in partnership with NPCI. Once implemented, this system will streamline the withdrawal process further and reduce dependency on traditional banking documents. Work on this system has already started.
Confirmation from EPFO Official
Labour Secretary Sumita Dawra confirmed to Times of India that the plan is already in progress. She stated that most EPFO subscribers will benefit from this service without needing to make additional changes. Faster approvals will also be part of the process. Initially, the withdrawal limit using UPI is expected to be ₹1 lakh, in line with daily UPI transaction limits.
Database Prepared for UPI Integration
EPFO has built a dedicated database to support this new system. Discussions with NPCI are ongoing to finalize the framework. This will allow users to view their account information directly and make withdrawals without delays. Once active, this update will offer both faster access to funds and improved visibility of account details.
