DA Hike, Bihar: The cabinet has raised the dearness allowance for employees and pensioners on the Fifth Central Pay Scale by three percent, while those on the Sixth Central Pay Scale have seen an increase of seven percent in their dearness allowance. Employees and pensioners under the Fifth Pay Scale will receive 455 percent rather than 443 percent, whereas those under the Sixth Central Pay Scale will obtain a dearness allowance of 246 percent instead of 239 percent. This benefit will become payable starting July 1, 2024.
Anganwadi centers in the state will receive new structures
This proposal received approval during the state cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday. Forty-three proposals were sanctioned during the meeting. Two thousand five hundred Anganwadi centers in the state will receive new structures. The government plans to allocate Rs. 12 lakh for the building construction of each structure. The cabinet has sanctioned Rs. 300 crore allocated for the building of two thousand five hundred Anganwadi centers. Of three hundred crore rupees, A loan of 255 crore will be obtained from NABARD. While Rs. 45 crore will be utilized from the state budget. A total of Rs 93.39 crore, deducted in Peshawar by the Commercial Tax Department, will be allocated as grant-in-aid to the municipal bodies operating in the state according to their population.
Rs 20.15 crore has been approved for the preparation of the DPR
These funds may be utilized for development projects. In the same way, a plan to allocate Rs 34.26 crore for extra rooms in the Parisadan Patna for the year 2024-25 has also received approval. An amount of Rs 20.15 crore has been approved for the preparation of the DPR for the construction of a barrage close to Taiyabpur on the Mahananda river in Kishanganj, while Rs 25.37 crore has been allocated for the DPR for the construction of a barrage near Dheng and Kataunjha on the Bagmati river in Sitamarhi.
