NEET UG 2025 is to be held on May 4, and this time NTA has clearly announced that strict verification procedures will be followed at test centers. Disqualification at the test will occur if there is a mismatch with Aadhaar card particulars. Regimens are being tightened by the agency so that an examination process which is fraud-free is conducted, and for the first time face recognition also will become mandatory.

No Exam Without Aadhaar Match

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the students whose Aadhaar card information is not authenticated in the verification process at the centre will be debarred from appearing for the NEET UG 2025. The agency is serious about it because there have been issues of impersonation in the past. Face match technology will be employed for verifying the candidates as well. In the event of a failure in face match, the candidate may be debarred from the examination centre.

Past Frauds Led to Tightly Regulated Rules

There were several instances of fraud in Bihar in the recent past in NEET UG. CBI, in January 2025, registered a case in Purnia where four candidates had allegedly sent impersonators on their behalf. Because of such instances, NTA has now made face recognition mandatory in order to improve the examination process and avoid malpractice.

Exam City Slip and Admit Card Dates

Aspirants can obtain the exam city slip on April 26 on the official website by entering their date of birth and application number. The admit card will be available three days before the exam, i.e., it will be available on May 1. NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in 35 cities in Bihar, with more than 105 centres.

CCTV Monitoring at Centres

This year, NTA has requested the local authorities to organize exam centres in government buildings alone. Earlier, private CBSE schools were utilized, but because of paper leak instances, emphasis is laid on safe government buildings. Advanced CCTV cameras and improved ID verification technology will be provided to observe the process and maintain transparency.

Tips for a Smooth Entry on Exam Day

andidates need to ensure their Aadhaar information is well up-to-date and matches the given information in the NEET application form. One needs a clean face scan along with valid photographic identification. Keeping a headstart and being all set with documentation will avoid the last-minute jitters.

Why Face Recognition Matters This Year

The face recognition technology is being introduced as a second level of security. It will assist the authorities in verifying each candidate’s identity and eliminating any chance of impersonation. The move on the part of NTA is intended to make the process foolproof and ensure that only genuine students appear for the exam.
