Today, when I celebrate it as a fasting person and follow small rules, somewhere I feel fear, happiness, and excitement together, and the voice of Jai Chhathi Maiya comes from my mind.” In this post, her followers wished her well and appreciated her feelings.

Raised questions on the customs of Chhath

In another post, Akshara Singh questioned some of the traditional customs of Chhath Puja. She asked why only men carry “Daura” (a type of vessel containing prasad) to the ghat during this festival, why not women? She wrote, “Ban na kavan dev kahariya, Daura ghathe phudhaye.”

This is the traditional song of Chhath , listening to which Akshara thought that the woman who keeps fast for three days with so much devotion and hard work, why can’t she take the same to the Daura Ghat?
