In Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’, the audience will get to see the original mythological story of ‘Kantara’. In the first film, the story of the forest deities Panjurli and Guliga was shown through Rishabh’s character Shiva. Now, in ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’, Rishabh will bring the story of these deities alive on the big screen.
At the time of the film’s announcement, the audience was stunned to see Rishabh’s first look. Now, with a new poster, he has also shared the release date of the film. Sharing the poster on social media, he wrote, “That moment has come. The sacred forest has started whispering. Grand release worldwide on 2 October 2025.”

In 2025, Dussehra is falling on October 2 and on this day, a mythological story like ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’ can rock the theaters. Apart from this, this day also falls on Gandhi Jayanti, which is a national holiday. As such, ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’ will get a long weekend in theatres.
Allu Arjun’s first pan-India release ‘Pushpa’ had collected over Rs 350 crore worldwide, while ‘Kantara’ had collected over Rs 400 crore worldwide. Already popular among Hindi audiences, Allu Arjun’s film had grossed over Rs 100 crore in Hindi. While Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’, a completely new face for Hindi audiences, collected a strong Rs 85 crore in Hindi and came close to ‘Pushpa’.
