Thin Design, High-Quality Feel
Oppo calls the Find X8 Ultra the thinnest camera phone yet at 8.78mm wide. It’s thinner than the Find X7 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, to begin with. That’s achieved by internal design enhancements such as a new motherboard and fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery. Oppo has introduced two new haptic buttons a programmable Shortcut Button and a Quick Button for camera usage.
Brilliant Display and Build
The phone features a beautiful 6.82-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with rich colors and Dolby Vision support. Pixel density is 510 PPI, and peak brightness is 1600 nits, so content is rich and immersive. Matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink are the options, and the phone looks beautiful in hand, particularly with the matte finish on the rear.
Camera Hardware Steals the Limelight
The cameras, naturally, are the highlight of the show. Find X8 Ultra boasts a penta-camera arrangement on the back, with a 50MP Sony LYT-900 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide (Samsung JN5), and two 50MP telephoto lenses (LYT700 and LYT600). These are backed with up to 6x optical and 120x digital zoom. Situated atop these are a 2MP color sensor and a 32MP front camera. All of the rear cameras offer 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video.
Early Camera Performance Holds Up
During initial testing, the dual camera impressed with clean detail, accurate colors, and minimal noise. It’s premature to call it, but Oppo’s partnership with Hasselblad continues to raise the bar for phone photography. Look for further analysis in the full review.
Powered Up and Feature-Rich
Under the bonnet, Find X8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which supports smooth and reliable performance. It features a monster 6100mAh battery powered by 100W fast charging, one of the biggest and fastest to be charged in the market.
Verdict: Ultra Ambitious, Ultra Capable
Oppo Find X8 Ultra checks nearly every flagship box from display and performance to camera innovation. While it won’t be coming to India, it’s a true showcase of Oppo’s hardware and imaging prowess in 2025. Stay tuned for the full review, where we’ll dive deeper into its long-term performance.
