PAN 2.0: The Government of India started the PAN upgrade program. It has been named PAN 2.0. The PAN 2.0 project also got a green signal from the Income Tax Department. This project has been started by the government to improve the PAN / TAN 1.0 eco-system.
The PAN 2.0 program is a part of this, and it aims to upgrade the old system. Many users have a question in their mind that how can it be upgraded, will a separate payment have to be made for this?
With the help of PAN 2.0, the entire system will be upgraded. The system will be made online based. However, users will not have to pay for this. The old PAN card will be upgraded, and users will be given PAN using new technology. PAN data will also be made more secure. If they use it, the government will also care for their data.
What will be different in PAN 2.0?
PAN 2.0 will have a separate QR code. After scanning it, the complete user information can be easily obtained. PAN activity will also be monitored. Security will be taken care of in the upgraded version. The government will also take further decisions on this.
The government has spent Rs 1,435 crore to upgrade the system. It has been described as a part of Digital India. Work on the entire system has also been started. A notification can also be issued regarding this now.
