Redmi 12 5G review: Redmi is a sub-brand of Xiaomi that focuses on affordable mobile phones. The brand launched the 4G version of Redmi 12 only last month.The device comes with MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and according to Redmi, its sales are quite good.
After the launch of this device, there were reports that the company would also follow the 5G model. In REDMI 12 5G you are given 6.79 Inch Full HD+ Display. Apart from this, it has a dual rear camera, whose primary camera is 50MP.
The front camera is available with 8MP. That means you don’t need to think much about the phone’s camera.

Display: Redmi 12 5G has a 6.79-inch FullHD + punch-hole display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution.
This screen is made on IPS LCD which has a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. This phone display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with which 550nits brightness is also available.
Processor: Redmi 12 5G phone has come in the market with Android 13 with MIUI 14. For processing, this phone has Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, the next version of the chipset present in Redmi Note 12 5G, which is made on 4-nanometer fabrications.
It also has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Besides, 8 GB virtual RAM is also available in it.
Camera: The company has launched the Redmi 12 5G phone in the market with a dual rear camera setup. There is an LED flash on its back panel along with a 50-megapixel primary lens with F/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
Similarly, for selfies and video calling, this 5G Redmi phone has an 8-megapixel front camera with F/2.0 aperture.
Battery: Redmi 12 5G phone has also been launched with 5,000 mAh battery. Talking about fast charging technology, it has 18W charging support.
Regarding this, the company has been claiming that once fully charged, the mobile battery can give a standby time of 28 days or 30 hours of video playback can be achieved on it.
OS: The Redmi phone runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box.
Price: Redmi 12 5G phone has been launched in three memory variants in India. Its base model also supports 128 GB storage with 4 GB RAM and the other variant has 128 GB storage with 6 GB RAM.
The rates of both of these are Rs 11,999 and Rs 13,499 respectively. Similarly, the largest Redmi 12 5G variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage has been launched for Rs 15,499.
