Tecno Spark 10 Pro Review: The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is an interesting entry-level smartphone with a premium design, solid-looking specs, and a big battery. It attracts a lot of attention with its high-resolution primary and selfie cameras, and in fact, one of the first things anyone will notice about the Tecno Spark 10 Pro is its design.
It has a dual-glass build with good colour options and an all-matte finish. Then comes the large IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The rear looks similar to recent iPhones, with a 50MP primary camera and a depth sensor at the back and a dual-LED flash. If you too want to buy this phone, know all the details here.
Design
The Tecno Spark 10 Pro has a premium design, which is probably one of the best-looking in its price segment, which is why the Spark 10 Pro can make a mark for itself. The front of the Spark 10 Pro has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen and the bezel thickness is also decent. This is where the 32MP front camera is located. There is a long and thin earpiece grille above the screen. And there are several sensors that are not visible to the naked eye and right next to it is a small dual-LED flash. The back of the Spark 10 Pro looks similar to the iPhone 14 Pro/Max, it also has the same purple-ish color and matte finish on the glass, but most importantly, the camera arrangement is the same. Of course, the Spark 10 Pro is available in more than one color. Apart from Starry Black, there is also a Pearl White version.
Display
This phone works on HiOS 12.6 based on Android 13. It has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Its touch sampling rate is 270Hz. It has a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (2460 × 1080 pixels) LCD screen. The phone has a MediaTek Helio G88 processor with Mali G52 GPU. The screen supports the sRGB colour space, and the only colour option you get as part of the display settings is colour temperature. When using the default state, if you choose a warmer temperature, you will gradually see blue replaced by red. Colour accuracy isn’t terrible; it’s mediocre. The display supports up to 90Hz. The three refresh rate settings are 90Hz, 60Hz, and auto switch.
Camera
The Tecno Spark 10 Pro has dual cameras on the back and a single camera on the front. There is a dual-LED flash on both sides. It’s interesting that Tecno says on its official website that there are three cameras on the back, but if you look at the official specifications, it clearly says two cameras. Things will get even weirder in a while. The 50MP main camera uses either a Samsung (S5K)JN1 (1/2.76″, 064µm pixels) or Hynix Hi5021Q (1/2.55″, 0.7µm) sensor. When covered, the camera app will indicate that it is covered. The front camera uses a 32MP Samsung S5KGD2 1/2.8″ sensor with 0.8µm pixels and a tetrapixel color filter (Quad-Bayer). It sits behind a 25mm f/2.45 lens, focus is resolved.
Battery life
The Tecno Spark 10 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery. USB Type-C port support is provided for charging. The phone has 18W fast charging support
