Rekha Gupta Become Delhi New CM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which returned to power in Delhi after 27 years, has played a significant political gamble and handed over the Chief Minister to Rekha Gupta. By selecting Rekha Gupta, who comes from the parent organization, the BJP has tried to strengthen social and strategic politics.

Considering the growing support of women across the country, the BJP has taken this important decision. At present, Rekha Gupta will be the only woman Chief Minister of BJP. Apart from this, after Sushil Modi in Bihar, the BJP has adopted a strategy to woo the large voter group, the Vaishya community. By taking this decision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has tried to balance many political equations.

Strategy to give leadership to women

The BJP is constantly getting widespread support from women. After implementing 33% women reservation in the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assembly, there was also pressure on the party to give leadership to women. With this decision, Rekha Gupta has become the first woman Chief Minister of the BJP, while this is the second time in the country that a woman has been appointed to this post. This decision is being considered a big step towards women’s empowerment.

Attempt to woo traditional Vaishya community.

With this decision, BJP has also given a clear message to its traditional supporter Vaishya community that the party is not ignoring their interests. Recently, in the ‘Gyaan’ (poor, youth, Annadaata, Nari) mantra given by Prime Minister Modi, women were also given top priority. By handing over the command of Delhi to Rekha Gupta, BJP has shown that along with women empowerment, it is also focusing on its core vote bank.

Eye on Bihar elections

BJP is preparing to put all its strength into the Bihar assembly election, which will be held at the end of this year. Vaishya community in Bihar comes under backward class, and BJP’s influence is considered strong in this community. Sushil Modi has been a prominent leader of this community, and now, with Rekha Gupta becoming the Chief Minister, BJP has also given a clear message to the Vaishya community of Bihar. This time, a tough fight is possible between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and India Alliance in Bihar. In such a situation, the BJPP steps are essential to the election strategy.

Clear political signals

The BJP had given many political signals before selecting the new Chief Minister in Delhi. The party leadership had appointed Om Prakash Dhankar and Ravi Shankar Prasad as observers from the Jat and Purvanchal communities, respectively. This made it clear that the BJP is working on a new social equation. Finally, by making Rekha Gupta, who comes from the Vaishya community, the Chief Minister, the BJP made its election strategy more clear.

By making Rekha Gupta the Chief Minister, the BJP has given priority to women’s empowerment and tried to woo its traditional voter base. This decision will strengthen the BJP’s political equations in Delhi and Bihar.
