Big news for students. CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams kick off today, February 15 (CBSE Board Exam 2025). There are around 8000 exam centers set up across India and even abroad, with over 44 lakh students expected to take part. On the first day, class 10 students will tackle their English exam, while class 12 students will focus on Entrepreneurship. The exams will run from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has laid out some guidelines for the board exams, covering dress code, prohibited items, and rules that students need to follow. If these instructions aren’t adhered to, the board may take action.

This year, exams will be monitored by CCTV cameras, and strict security measures have been put in place at the exam centers. Students will also undergo thorough checks before entering the exam hall.

So, what should students bring to the exam center, and what should they leave behind?

1. Students need to bring their admit card and school ID. Private students can show a valid government-issued photo ID.

2. A transparent water bottle, metro card, bus pass, cash, and an analog watch are also allowed.

3. Essential stationery like pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, writing pads, and geometry boxes can be taken in.

4. Students with dyscalculia can use calculators provided by the test center.

5. Those with diabetes can bring food and drinks with prior permission, but this doesn’t apply to other students.

6. Electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth gadgets, earphones, smartwatches, and cameras are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.

7. Items like wallets, handbags, glasses, and pouches are also banned.

8. Unauthorized study materials such as notes, flashcards, and books are not allowed either.

Students should remember the following important points:

On the day of the board exam, it’s essential to arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes early.

Take your assigned seat in the examination hall.

Don’t forget to bring your admit card, as entry will be denied without it.

Avoid talking to others or attempting to cheat, as misconduct can lead to a ban from the board.

Make sure to follow the invigilator’s instructions carefully.

Before you start writing your answers, take a moment to read the questions thoroughly.

Lastly, ensure that all the information on your answer sheet matches what is on your admit card.
