Indeed, CBSE released a notice on 7 July 2024. The heads of all schools affiliated with CBSE were notified that CBSE has gained affiliation with the School Games Federation of India starting from 8 July 2024. Starting in 2024-25, the champions of the CBSE National Games will take part in the SGFI National School Games held annually by SGFI. Simultaneously, the board had cautioned the school head regarding a sports entity named CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO). It is located in Agra, UP, that is utilizing the CBSE name for taking part in sports competitions. It is also taking part in sports events organized by SGFI and various other sports organizations. CBSE instructed the schools to refrain from any association with the organization and to avoid participating in sports events organized by it. Regardless of this, numerous schools took part in the sports organized by CBSE WSO.
