Delhi School Holidays: In most states of the country, schools are closed in summer, winter, rain and on the occasion of festivals. However, schools in Delhi and NCR remain closed even during the first or second week of November.
Actually, after Diwali and Chhath Puja, the pollution level of Delhi-NCR increases a lot. Due to that many types of health problems are being seen in children. At such times, it becomes difficult to even breathe in Delhi. The air in Delhi has become very bad. AQI has been recorded at more than 400 locations in many areas of Delhi and Noida.
Due to increasing air pollution, people living in Delhi-NCR have problems like cough, cold, and sore throat. That is why the government is preparing to close the schools.
Delhi Schools Closed
The closure of schools due to air pollution will not affect studies because they can be shifted to online mode. Last year, schools also conducted studies online on the syllabus. There was no loss to such children. Children are advised to use masks after the increase in AQI levels until the schools are closed. This will prevent them from breathing in poisonous air.
So far, no decision has been taken by the state government on holidays due to pollution. However, if the pollution level rises, the state government can take this step very soon. The government is continuously monitoring the quality of pollution. Along with Delhi’s capital, pollution is constantly increasing in the adjoining Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Noida.
Delhi’s AQI remains at 351, according to the latest Central Pollution Control Board update at 5 pm. The pollution level in Lucknow has decreased today compared to yesterday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board report, today’s AQI has been recorded at 184. On Friday, the city’s AQI was recorded at 191 in the moderate category. The air quality in many cities of Madhya Pradesh remains poor.
