In fact, the Ministry of Defense will give 40 days of additional salary in the form of a productivity-linked bonus to eligible defense civilian employees of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) for the financial year 2023-24, which has been approved by the President. The Ministry has also issued a notification related to this.

 

How will the bonus and salary be calculated?

 

This bonus will be given to eligible defense civilian personnel of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) on the basis of their performance. The bonus will be available to AOC and all Group B (non-gazetted) and CC civilian employees of the Indian Army, who are covered under the PLB scheme. The bonus calculation limit will be up to 7000. In this case, after dividing the average salary of the employee by 30.4, the value that will come will be multiplied by 30. To understand: Suppose the monthly salary of an employee is Rs 20,000. So he will be paid around Rs 19,737 as a bonus.

 

These are the rules for casual labor that will apply to this bonus

 

Note that all other conditions under the bonus limit and under the PLB scheme will continue to apply. At the same time, bonus payments for casual workers will be done on the basis of an estimated salary of $1200 per month.
