Before the end of 2024, the government has given huge relief to the state government employees. After the great initiative of the Vishnu Sai government of Chhattisgarh, the pending demand of the managers and employees of the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society for 6 years has been fulfilled in 24 hours. For the first time since 2018, the salaries and allowances of about 13,000 employees of cooperative societies have been increased by 25 percent.
Salary Increased
On the sensitive initiative of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, the strike of the managers and employees of the committees ended. The salary and allowances of the society employees were increased by 25 percent by fulfilling the demand of a salary hike pending for 6 years by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies within 24 hours. In connection with the other two demands, appropriate action is being taken by constituting an interdepartmental committee at the government level. Earlier, this was increased in the year 2018.
25% increase in salaries and allowances of committee employees
In compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister, orders were issued by the Commissioner Cooperation Department to amend the Cooperative Society Employees Service Rules on 11 November 2024. In this, an increase of 25 percent in the salary and allowances of the employees of the society has been approved. A letter to this effect has also been issued by the Food Department that paddy will be lifted by the Rice Millers and Marketing Federation within one month of the end of paddy procurement; if even after this, paddy remains in the procurement centers, then the proposal for giving dry paddy to cooperative societies will be sent by the Food Department to the Finance Department.
Consideration of the other two demands
1. In connection with the redressal of other demands of the employees, an interdepartmental committee has been constituted, including the Food Department, Finance Department, Agriculture Department, Cooperation Department, and Marketing Federation, which will consider the demand of the employees union and send the proposal to the government for redressal. With this, all the employees have returned to work in their respective committees and have been engaged in proper arrangements for paddy procurement starting from November 14, 2024.
2. It has also been assured by the employees that farmers will not face any difficulty during paddy procurement. All necessary preparations in paddy procurement centers will be completed by 13 November 2024. Commissioner Cooperatives and Registrar Cooperative Societies has given instructions to all departmental employees and officers to facilitate paddy procurement with transparency.
