This is great news for the employees working in temporary posts under the state. The state government employees have been demanding a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) at the central rate for a long time. But the state government has not yet fulfilled this demand. However, the state government has recently announced a salary hike for ‘Karmabandhu’ in temporary posts. This announcement has ended their long wait, and it is hoped that their life will become financially solvent.
Salary hikes after 6 years
According to a notification released by the Finance Department of Nabanna, the new salary structure has been fixed for Karmabandhu. From now on, these employees will get a salary of Rs 5,000 per month, which has been directly increased to Rs 3,000 from the previous Rs 2,000. The new pay scale came into effect on September 1.
Tasks and responsibilities of Karmabandhu
Karmabandhu usually does the cleaning work of government offices and as a night watchman. When the post was created in 2018, their salary was fixed at only Rs 2,000 per month. After six years, their salaries have finally been increased. However, no other allowance system has been added to the new salary at the moment.

All the employees are happy with the decision of the state government to increase their salaries. Pratap Nayak, a leader of the Trinamool Employees Federation, said, “We have been demanding a hike in the salary of our workers for a long time.
