A photo of you will be taken at the center itself. A receipt will be given after completing this process. A 14-digit enrollment number will be written on it. Through this number, you will be able to know the status of the Aadhaar card. Therefore, this receipt has to be kept safe. It takes about 90 days to get an Aadhaar card. After the card is created, the message will come to your registered mobile number.

 

At the same time, an Aadhaar card can also be made through an online process. For this, you have to go to the enrollment center once. Because this is where your biometrics will be taken.

 

Online process for making a card

 

To make an Aadhaar card online, you have to click on the website Uidai.gov.in. Then click on the option of My Aadhaar. Click on the option of Book and Appointment. Then select the location and click on Proceed Book and Appointment. After this, when the page opens, select the new Aadhaar and enter your mobile number and captcha code.

 

After generating the OTP, submit it. Your appointment will be booked. After doing this, you will have to go to the center with ID at the scheduled time and day. After this, the further process will be the same as in the offline process. Not only this, if you do not have an ID, then you will have to resort to a member of your family who has an ID. However, for that, you have to give the furf of that family member.

 

How to change Aadhaar card

 

If you want to change the phone number, address, name, and birthdate in your Aadhaar card, you can do it online by visiting the UIDAI website. For this, after clicking on the Uidai.gov.in, you have to click on the Update Aadhaar option of My Aadhaar. Then click on Update Demographics Data Online.

 

How to change name, address

 

After this, select the fields that you want to update, such as address, phone number, name, or date of birth. Upload scanned copies of supporting documents for whatever update you wish to make. If you want to update your address, you will have to upload address proof like a bank statement or passport.

 

After this, check the update again and verify the information. Now you have to click on the submit button. Select the BPO service provider in the list displayed on the screen. Along with confirming your update request, click on the submit button. After clicking on it, you will get a confirmation with a URN number. You can note down the URN. You can track the status of your update request using the URN through the UIDAI website.
