An alert has been issued in view of the possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Heavy rains may also occur in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. There may be heavy rain in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad in the next two days.

Heavy rain is expected in Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra, and Kutch. During the next 5 days of August, rain may continue at many places in western Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain in eastern Madhya Pradesh till August 21, in Vidarbha, Konkan, and Goa during August 18-20.
