Kolkata Rape Murder Case: Every moment, shocking revelations are being made about the cases of rape and murder of doctors at Kolkata Medical College and Hospital.

With each passing day, the matter becomes more complicated. So far only one accused – Sanjay Rai has been arrested in this case. In contrast, the victim’s parents’ video is going viral on social media, complicating the case.

A letter allegedly signed by former principal of RG Kar Hospital Sandeep Ghosh has surfaced, suggesting an attempt to change the crime scene, the place where the trainee doctor was raped and murdered. “On August 10, a day after the victim’s death, former RG Kar Medical College director Sandip Ghosh issued the order,” BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar said in a post on Twitter.

The BJP has also demanded the chief minister’s resignation, stressing the need for a fair probe. According to the alleged letter dated August 10, the executive engineer was directed to immediately undertake repair, renovation and reconstruction of on-duty doctors’ rooms and separate attached toilets in all departments of Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The letter highlighted “deficiencies” in on-duty doctors’ rooms and attached toilets in various departments.

Let us tell you that Prasun Chatterjee, a close aide of former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh, was detained from Subhashgram in Kolkata. The deceased doctor’s aunt expressed her displeasure over the incident and said, “When my niece’s body was lying in the house, the police offered us money. Is this how the police demonstrate humanity?”

He continued, “Until the completion of the last rites, 300-400 policemen surrounded us.” However, upon the completion of the last rites, not a single officer was in attendance. How did we manage? The police diligently carried out the final rites before dissipating.

When we were mourning and the body was in front of us, the police offered money instead of showing sympathy. They claimed that they have done their duty, but is it really fulfilling their responsibility?”

On the other hand, the deceased doctor’s family members, who joined the protesting doctor at RG Kar Hospital, accused the Kolkata Police of trying to hush up the matter by hastily cremating the body. The woman doctor’s father said that we wanted to keep our daughter’s body, but we were pressurized a lot and her last rites were done.
