Mahakumbh 2025:- The Maha Kumbh Mela to be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh has started today i.e. 13 January. Today is the Amrit Snan of Paush Purnima. Since morning, devotees have been dipping in the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.

Kumbh Mela is a significant religious event of the Hindu Sanatan tradition. The Kumbh Mela, which started in Prayagraj in 2025, will continue from January 13 to February 26. By 9:30 am, more than 60 lakh devotees took a dip of faith. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also congratulated Paush Purnima by posting on X.

From midnight, devotees started coming to the fair area from various routes, and the crowd increased at the Sangam. Bathing started amidst the Har-Har Gange and Jai Ganga Maiya chants, and by the morning light, Sangam Nose was filled with bathers.

People from local and far-flung districts took a dip. Meanwhile, police and civil defence volunteers controlled the crowd by blowing whistles.

So that no one faces any problems during bathing, they spread out in groups and maintained the balance of the crowd on the ghat.

Crores of devotees from the country and abroad took a holy dip in the Sangam. Since mornings, a massive crowd has been gathering on the Sangam bang. According to the administration, by 9:30 am, 60 lakh devotees had bathed; this number is estimated to reach one crore by the end of the day. According to the administration, about 2 lakh devotees take a dip every hour. This event has been made grand by showering 20 quintals of flowers on the devotees.

A city of tents has been set up around the Triveni Sangam. Vajravahan, drones, bomb disposal squads, and National Security Guards have been deployed to ensure the people’s safety. Vehicle entry has been stopped to protect people from the crowd.

Devotees reach Sangam by walking 10-12 kilometres from the bus and railway station. Police officers manage the crowd at various places. Complete care is taken to ensure the devotees do not face any problems. Special attention has also been given to pure water, toilets, and medical facilities.
