Ajit Pawar On Farmers Electricity Bill: Maharashtra Deputy CM and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar made an announcement in 2024-25 budget in the assembly on Friday (June 28). Ajit Pawar On Farmers Electricity Bill: Before the assembly elections in Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde’s government has started trying to woo every section. The Mahayuti government of the state has made a big announcement for the farmers. Electricity bill arrears of 44 lakh farmers in Maharashtra will be waived.

The Maharashtra government has also tried to provide relief to the farmers growing cotton and soybean in the state. Bonus has been announced for them. It has been said to give a bonus of Rs 5000 per hectare to all the farmers.

Financial assistance increased on deaths due to animal attacks

Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP chief Ajit Pawar said, “We will give a bonus of Rs 5000 per hectare to all the farmers for cotton and soybean crops in Maharashtra. We will also give a bonus of Rs 5 per liter to milk producing farmers.” After July 1, 2024, the government has increased financial assistance on deaths due to animal attacks, now the family members will get Rs 25 lakh instead of Rs 20 lakh earlier.

Big announcements related to women

1: CM Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

The government has announced a scheme named ‘CM Majhi Ladki Bahin’ for women. Under this scheme, women in the age group of 21-60 years will be given Rs 1500. This scheme will be implemented from next month, i.e. July. The budget of the scheme will be Rs 46,000 crore.

2: Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme

Under this scheme, 10,000 women from 17 cities will be given financial assistance to buy rickshaws. For this, Rs 80 crore will be kept aside from the budget.

3: Amount of Shubh Mangal Marriage Scheme increased

Shubh Mangal Mass Registration Marriage Scheme for women has also been increased. Earlier, beneficiary women used to get Rs 10,000, now they will get Rs 25,000.

4: 3 free gas cylinders under CM Annapurna Yojana

It has also been announced to give 3 free gas cylinders to every family every year under CM Annapurna Yojana. Announcing this, Ajit Pawar said, ‘We will ensure the supply of clean fuel for women for cooking.

5: Emphasis on increasing women’s enterprise

Ajit Pawar said that the target is to make 25 lakh women lakhpatis this year. All India level workshops will be organized under the Mahila Start Up Yojana. Also, the state government will pay the interest on the loan taken up to 15 lakh under the scheme.

6: Scheme for OBC

Scheme has also been brought for girls from OBC and economically weaker sections. Government will reimburse 100% fees for higher education. The scheme is for those families whose annual income is up to Rs 8 lakh.
