Many economic welfare schemes are run by various state governments for the empowerment of women. Currently, the Maiya Samman Yojana is being run by the Jharkhand government. This scheme was started only last year, and currently, 58 lakh women in the state benefit from it. However, news is coming that the names of lakhs of women may be removed from this scheme. Names of These Women Will Be Removed

Under the Maiya Samman Yojana, financial assistance is provided mainly to women who are not benefiting from any other financial scheme. However, many fake applications have been submitted for this scheme recently. As a result, all applicants are being investigated. Any application that does not meet the eligibility criteria will be removed from the scheme, and those women will no longer receive benefits. Eligibility for Maiya Samman Yojana

The eligibility rules for Maiya Samman Yojana are as follows. If any woman is considering applying for this scheme, she can check her eligibility based on these rules.

  • Women who are permanent residents of Jharkhand and are aged between 21 and 49 years can benefit from this scheme.
  • The applicant woman should not be employed in any government institution, and no member of her family should be a current or former MP or MLA.
  • The woman should not be a beneficiary of any other social security scheme to be eligible for this scheme.

How to Get the Benefit of Maiya Samman Yojana

  • The woman must be between the ages of 18 and 50 years.
  • A single bank account linked to Aadhaar is required.
  • Those whose bank accounts are not linked to Aadhaar can still avail the benefits of the scheme until December 2024. After that, linking the bank account to Aadhaar will be necessary.
  • Ration cardholders in Jharkhand state, including Green, Yellow (Antyodaya Anna Yojana), Pink (Pre-employment Household Card), and White (K-Oil Ration Card) categories, are eligible.

How to Apply for Maiya Samman Yojana

To apply offline for Maiya Samman Yojana, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the nearest Anganwadi centre or the office of the Block Development Officer/Zonal Officer to request a hard copy of the application form.
  2. Complete the form with all the required details and attach the necessary documents, self-attested if needed.
  3. Submit the completed form and supporting documents.
  4. Applicants in rural areas should go to the nearest Pragya Kendra or Block Development Officer’s office. In urban areas, applicants should visit the Zonal Officer’s office.
  5. When applying to the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer, ask for a receipt or acknowledgement. The receipt should include important information such as the submission date and time, along with a unique identification number if available.
